SMTP recipient criterion in WinGate 5.2.3

Postby Yuri » Apr 20 04 7:39 pm

When I define a filter for SMTP server policy with criterion like
"SMTP recipient contains XXXX" and message match this criterion,
SMTP Server returns error 800CCC0F

Yuri,

Are there other ban lists entries defined?

I'm thinking this may be a corruption in the ban list somehow.

If it's not took painful you could delete all entries in the ban list and re-enter them to see if it helps.

I'm define this criterion in Advanced Tab of policy.
The Ban list is empty.

In Advanced Tab I'm define one filter with one criterion ("SMTP recipient contains......")

When send outbound message which matchs this criterion, sending process breaks with error.

In this moment WinGate's SMTP Server Log contains:

"Error: Caught unknown exception in WGSMTPReceiveSession::OnRead() - terminating"

OK - sorry I should have pickep up on that when you said "criterion".

I haven't tried it in Advanced.

I am very successful using the ban list to do just that.

You may want to give it a try until the Advanced problem is resolved.

I'm tested this criterion in Ban List with the same result: when recipient of outbound message matches this criterion, client's sending process breaks with error.

Error occures with any operator ("equals","contains","begins with","ends with","is empty") of criterion "SMTP Recipient....".

Criterion "SMTP Sender...." works fine.
