WinGate Set up

My ISP has changed our incoming (POP3) and outgoing mail server (SMTP). The changes are straight forward, it seems. The Main workstation is running fine. The problem arises with the downline stations. They can reveive incoming mail but can not send outgoing mail. I have tried just about everything, I even had a service tech. come in to check it out. No one knows what the problem is. I really need to get to the bottom of this. Any advice.

add and smtp service in the services in the wingate server, check only the box that says support outgoing email, put the new smtp server of your isp in there. on the client side when you check the smtp server name, put in the ip of the wingate sever (mine is 192.168.0.1)
you might want to do the same for pop3.

Oddly enough it turns out that my service provider needed to provide another account name in order for the login to work. It was one of those accounts where you use a + symbol in place of the @ symbol. Originally we were supposed to use the # symbol. Anyway, the problem has been solved for now, thanks for the reply.

Hello, my problem is this: building a lan, 9 pc on 2 switches, the 10th pc is the server. ISP cable comes into the server, from the server another cable goes to the switch. From the server i can connect to the Internet but not from the workstations. The workstations can see and connect to eachother. CLIENT INSTALATION DOES NOT SEE THE SERVER. I EVEN TRIED MANUALY. i'mjusta begginer and it's tuff!!


I want the 5.2.2 version if posible.

I solved it, it was my mistake, i put the right ips and everything is ok, net work even on one workstation on witch i didn't instal the client couse i was tired last night. :))))

I HAD AN APACHE RUNNING ON MY LOCALMACHINE AND NOW IT IS NOT.

THIS WAS MY 1ST INSTALATION OF WINGATE, COULD SOMEBODY TELL ME WHY THE APACHE ISN'T RUNNING ANYMORE?
