NT Authentication Problem

Postby aicpcu » Jul 21 04 8:39 am

Hello,

I am using NT authentication and I am having troubles. I know the proxy is working correctly because when I choose the www service and allow it for everyone, people go right through, but when I tyr to choose an account it seems to fail. Internet Explorer comes back with an unauthorized error. I am using the verison 6.0.0. Am I doing something wrong? I see all my domain users in the list, I can select them. I read also that you need to chnage the password, because it comes over with NO password. But this version does not let me do that -- its all greyed out. Please help!

Hi,

When you say V6.0.x is it Beta x or RC1/2?

If not try the latests RC2 and report back, someone will take it further.

Hi Wes,

Are you saying that when you have NTLM authentication enabled no clients are able to access a web page? If the error being received is "you are not authorised to view this web page" then it sounds like you've set up a policy that restricts access. Can you please check your system policies and WWW proxy policies?

Thanks,

Matt
