Saying Goodbye

Postby SShowron » Jul 15 07 11:33 am

Well, I'm saying goodbye to this software. Feature wise its great, but pricing isn't.

I may come back if (when) QBik decides to price their software at a reasonable level - $379AUD for the license I require (at this moment) is too step a price.

That, and the fact of one of the most hated features any software can get - Internet Activation, sorry but I will 'NOT' use any software that has this. If I pay money I expect to use software without having to let a company know when/if I use said software.

Btw, the main point of this post, is to say that I am unhappy with the current pricing system. I really think it should be looked at.

You are right, feature and performance wise it is great!

As for ROI / Return On Investment I'd have to say in Qbik's defence that it is far from greedy and I say that from a standpoint of having barely typed a line of code in my life, let alone understood the RFC's or the TCP/IP stack for that matter..... :-))

BTW: I run a farming / grazing enterprise and experience first hand little or no ROI these days compared to thirty years ago so everyone needs a fair result for their effort.

Activation, that is no big deal, for intellectual rights a maker should be able to know that there is only one instance of their product in use at a time. Large companies do it all the time, how do you get along with them?

Cheers.
