I installed wingate over the weekend and the proxy works but not the mail server. There are 20 clients who need to send/receive e-mail and they can all do that internally but not externally.
Before the change was made, they connected to a local company who hosted their e-mail server and retrieved their e-mails from there.
Here's the situation. Their domain name is ariaslogistics.com but when connecting to the local company they had to log on using ariasusername even though their e-mail address was
username@ariaslogistics.com.
The arias in front of their username was added so they could check their e-mail and when sending e-mail they used the local company's smtp instead of their domain name.
Now we have installed the mail server and added the ariaslogistics.com domain with all the users. The local company has made the DNS changes so all mail being sent to ariaslogistics.com points to the proxy. The problem is that nothing comes in.
I can see different servers trying to connect and deliver in the wingate activity window but nothing is delivered. I also see that wingate is trying to send but nothing is sent.
DHCP and firewall is disabled in wingate because we have a watchguard firewall. Wingate client is installed on all user PC's and they can surf the net without a problem and can send e-mail internally only.
Allow open relay check is enabled.
Any pointers on what settings to check would be greatly appreciate it.
