When I install WinGate internet client and leave it DISABLED/UNUSED most of my network applications can no longer connect to the internet - things that worked before!!
It seems to break my networking for some reason. Strangely, my browser and e-mail clients keep working even when it is installed.
This happens under Win XP Sp2.
I have Sygate Personal Firewall installed but disabled when this happens.

7. Is there any specific reason why you need to use the WGIC? What is your desired result?
2. Whats some example applications that loose connectivity?

Applications that don't work with WGIC but work when I allow everything in and out on the restrictive router are, e.g., SIP VOIP clients such as www.voipbuster.com.
