Hello,
my w2k3 server is running the last version of wingate; i'm trying to set up an advanced policy in order to filter some www requests.
I've noticed that WINGATE can filter on the HEADER FIELD of my http string; in my case i've configured a rule which blocks the site if the HEADER FIELD "CONTENT-TYPE" contains the string "VIDEO".
I've tried also with the most used "TEXT" but it doesn't filter anything.
Someone can help me ?
Thanks in advance.

Hi Safilo,
I am looking into this. I need to ask one of the developers about the syntax for it. We will advise; it may be after the weekend. Our apologies if that causes any inconvenience.
Someone else on the forum may have a suggestion though...?

Hi
WinGate only checks rules for requests - not server responses, so the content-type field normally won't be present in a request.
We are working on changes to our policy framework for the next major version.
Until then, you could try banning URLs ending in common movie extensions, like .mov, .mpg etc
