Please i have a very fundamental question to ask. i have read thru the knowledgebase topics and it is still not clear to me

1)what? the license being "perpetual and never expires " means.

Cos i have a 100 user licence( Wingate 6.x professional) , that was purchased a year ago and would expire in may 2010. When i went online to renew, i was given a computation of the cost to be about $249 for 1 yr version protection policy.
Is the $249 the total amount due for renewing the 100 user license for another year considering version protection?

OR is it in addition to the $999.95 cost for 100 user concurrent user license?

IN OTHER WORD CAN SOMEONE JUST TELL ME THE AMOUNT DUE TO TAKE MY 100 USER LICENSE THROUGH ANOTHER YEAR??

This means forever, Wingate licences do not need renewal.

Version protection allows you access to a major release.

Even without version protection Qbik's licensing has been most reasonable insofar as all the features in your current version will still be available in a major release without version protection.

There is some stuff here about licensing too.

One of the Qbik guys will drop in and expand on this, but that is how I have seen licensing work, so you only need to spend money to keep the Version Protection current, which is probably a good idea with a major release on the way.
