6.1: 'activity window'

i upgraded this morning. all working ok.
however, this is odd - the activity window has gone a little crazy; i seem to be getting multiple client listings for the same machine: i.e. rather than seeing one machine with many activities, i'm seeing many machines (the same machine many times) with many activities.

it's making me a little nauseous.
