About Data - Type: List

Hi Wingate Team.

When we create list in Data control panel, we can choose either to :
1- add new member to the list - wingate will write the data into windows registry
2- link the content from other list
3- link the content from file on HDD - wingate will read from .txt file

my question is :
between option 1 (data read from registry) and option 2 (data read from .txt file) which one more faster?

Hi

actually both are about the same speed, since the list content is stored in RAM in both cases, and searched in the same way.

If the file content changes a lot, it will be re-scanned often which can slow it down a little.
