I am having a strange problem that I believe has happened previously where an email message seems to be "stuck" in Wingate. Previous messages have been received properly from this particular mailbox, but now any time my email client (Eudora v7.1.0.9) attempts to retrieve this particular message it times out waiting for the server. It's a relatively large message at 1346KB, but it still seems seems strange. Now that this one message is "stuck" no other messages from that mailbox can be retrieved. Any ideas? I can provide the mailbox contents if that would help. I am running Wingate v7.3, which I believe is the latest release available.
Thanks,
Chad.

Attached is the debug level log of the retrieval attempt for the mailbox, hope it helps.

Hi
From the log, it looks like the client is disconnecting part way through the download.
Can you find the mail file on disk and maybe remove it? it will be in the INBOX folder in the user's mail folder, and the file name looks like it will be 000000191.msg
You'd need to delete the index.dat file as well if you remove a file in order to get WinGate to rebuild the index. In fact if you look in the file in notepad, and it's not sensitive, could you mail it to us in a zip so we can see what is maybe causing the client to disconnect? Send to
support@wingate.com.

Thanks Adrien, I was actually going to attach it here but didn't really want to leave it out for the world to see. It's nothing really sensitive but I just don't think it would have been good since it contains my email address. I've zipped the full "INBOX" folder up and will send it to the support address with a reference to this forum posting.
Chad.

Hi Chad
I couldn't reproduce the problem even using Eudora 7.1.0.9
however I was testing with a later WinGate build than you have, would you like to maybe try that and see if it resolves the issue for you?
Regards
Adrien
