wingate 5.2.0 help - URGENT!

Nov 01 06 3:18 pm

Our firewall - wingate 5.2.0 on win2k just crashed.
There was a power outrage this afternoon. Since then I can't start gatekeeper.exe to start wingate.
The wingate.exe is always at 99% CPU useage. Does not allow me to start anything else.
I have tried to reinstall wingate 5.2.0 on top of the old one but no luck. Please help. I have to come back to work really early tomorrow to make it to work. I don't want to delete the wingate on the server now and reinstall another one on. Doing that will arase all my settings.
If you have any question, please ask.
Thank you very much.

Be sure you delete the History files and try again.

You can keep your settings by exporting the WinGate registry.

Thanks,

But in order for me to export the registry, gatekeeper.exe have to be running, correct?
I can't get it to run.
Thanks,

Either that or you can simply export the registry key HKLM/Software/Qbik Software/Wingate using regedit.exe

Thank you, that works.

However, now the system doens't pick any illegal scans.
When I click on the fiewall tab on the bottom, I don't have any thing.
I also deleted the history files.
What can I do.
Thanks

Do you have ENS driver loaded? Also, if you run Wingate behind another firewall/router, it itself might block unwanted traffic.
