Hi

Here is my issue i have upgraded to Wingate 6.1. Now it is preventing my mail software from distributing mails. I have allowed ports 110 & 25 to be accesible to my mail server but the users are still unable to access mails using outlook express. What other config settings did i miss? I'm really at a loss as i have checked al log files and found nothing to indicate where the problem lies. I'm sure you'll be able to tell how it affects the mail server. Oh point to note i have also disabled the mail server in Wingate. This is urgent as i have to disable Wingate server in order for my mail server to work what this does however is disable all internet services...looking forward to your responses..

Hi

Make sure there is no other service in WinGate running on port 110 or 25 if you are using another mail server on the same machine.

then you need to enable incoming connections on ports 110 and 25 as well from the Internet and from your LAN, depending on where you connect to the server from.

Or are you having problems with mail going through WinGate to another server on the internet?
