tcp connection on port 5756

Dec 09 05 1:14 am

We are using wingate 4.5.3 to connect several pc's to the internet.

On one of these pcs we must run a program that uses TCP to communicate with aan server on the internet using port 5756.

This program cannot connect to the remote server.

When i use telnet to open a connection on the pc running wingate
i get the correct reply.
So the internet side is working but the connection between the pc running the program and the pc running wingate goes wrong.

I modified the extended networking to enable port 5756 but that didn't help.

Has anybode a suggestion what i can do to get it working ??

Hi,

Could you please upgrade to the latest version? We've made a lot of changes since version 4.

You can download the latest version from our site

Hi,

We will consider upgrading in the future.

I just had a fresh look at the possible settings and found
some in the programs ini file.

by redirecting the output of the program to wingate and in
wingate redirecting the packets to their original destination
i got it working.

thanks for the help.
