Adding an HTTP site

Sep 01 06 5:31 am

Hi,

I need my users to acces this website: http://citrix.inet.tradespeed.net. These users currently have no restrictions to websites but most have the www not http which I think is the problem.

I have done the following: created a cache, criterion is not met if HTTP URL contains citrix.inet.tradespeed.net

But they still cannot hit this site.

Any ideas?

Hi Maggie

I think we found a problem with that site - a different machine answers the connection request than the request went to - this breaks the fundamental laws of TCP connections, so noone can connect to it.

They'll need to fix whatever is broken on their site.

Their DNS returns 2 IP addresses for the name citrix.inet.tradespeed.net

65.175.59.194 and 69.64.210.194

you can actually connect to the second IP address. So, one way around it would be to get the clients to connect to this IP address either by specifying the URL as an IP, or by adding the name to their hosts file with that Ip address - thereby overriding their broken DNS.

http://69.64.210.194
