If you are currently using the WWW Proxy for MSN Messenger, you could try using NAT instead. NAT is a very simple connection method and shouldn't be effected quite like the WWW Proxy Server.

Also, whatever the connection method it can be necessary to increase the timeout for these services.
Last time I had any Messenger experience it was by Socks and the timeout had to be removed.

Hi,
I get the same problem, and I post here today...
When you said "the timeout had to be removed.", you mean put the value to "0" ?
Thanks in advance...

Yes un-tick it though, '0' would be an immediate time out!

Hi,
I try both:
1) uncheck ALL timeout parameters in the service I use => Same bad result !
2) Check and set timeout value = 3000 in the service I use => Same bad result !
I was able ""by chance" to recreate the problem in my LAB , I setup all TRACES and DEBUG , so I will post these new information in my own post !

Why didn't you just keep everything in your own post to start with?
It would have been a lot easier to follow instead of having to look in four different places!
