Sometimes redirect to google.

Postby rtrenado » Mar 16 10 1:30 am

Hi everyone!

I have the last version of Wingate installed on a Windows 2003 Server with 6 computers (Windows XP).

Sometimes when they are usign Google to search any web, when they click on results, the browser redirects to google page again. They try again and its runs ok. Sometimes they have to repeat 3 or 4 times.

This is normal? There is something to configure?

It happens frequently...

Sorry about my english.

Thanks a lot!

From the Server does the same thing happen when the browser has a direct connection to the site?

Do you use WWW proxies for the clients'?

Do you cache WWW requests and if you do, does pressing SHIFT+Reload seem to load the page correctly?

Was a cache problem. I disabled cache and everything ok.

That is good, yes I no longer cache anything.

With narrowband services we used to have in Australia a good cache was useful for say dial up and latent satellite.

However with speeds increasing, common broadband speeds I see are 800kpbs to 4,500kbps [ok it's not the best but the PM is working on it with the NBN // something which the prior Government had '0' concept of] a cache is a bit redundant and I also found tends to work the Wingate server harddisk quite hard as well - the odd failure, especially when vertically mounted.

Still having the same problem... :(

From server runs ok.

So maybe it's a configuration problem. I have the wingate defaults options, only deactivated the cache.

Thanks a lot!
