Postby pheakavoin » Apr 10 04 5:04 pm

Hi All,

For example, when I try ftp://xxx@xxx.com the dialog box will appear with th meaning that (FTP Proxy warning: The folder "ftp://xxx@xxx.com" is read-only because the Proxy server is not set up to allow full access. To remove, paste, rename or delete files, you must use a different proxy.
For more information on changing the new proxy, contact your administrator)

I can upload site throuht out any FTP program normailly such as WS_FTP,...

Any recommendation about this?

Thanks for advanced.

Same problem

Having the same problems here.
When using a FTP client via port 21 things work. But when I try to connect to a protected FTP site with the Internetexplorer and via port 80 I cant authenticate. It tries to authenticated anonymously which isnt allowed without giving a login box.

Anyone knows whats going on?

When using Internet Explorer for FTP you either have to use the ftp://login:pass@ftpserver form or just connect and let it try to authenticate anonymously like Cypher_00 said. You'll get a message saying that anonymous access isn't allowed, just click OK then go to File -> Login As.. and you'll get the login box you were looking for ;)
Hope this helps!
