Wingate 4.5.2 running on Windows 2000 Pro with SP4.
I have an apache web server running on a machine behind the firewall. It's listening on port 80 for normal http requests and port 443 for ssl requests.
I have wingate configured to listen on port 80 for http requests and act as a web server itself. It is serving up the web pages for our office website. No ssl involved.
I can then set up either a tcp mapping or another www proxy to listen on another port, say 81 and pass requests coming to this port to the apache web server, which will pass back the requested information (Groupwise WebAccess pages) to the external world.
However, SSL requests from the internet are not getting through to apache. I know ssl and non-ssl are configured correctly on the apache server because I can access both from within the firewall. If I type in https:// and the address I cet the certificate validation window and the lock icon indicating a secure connection.
I have tried disabling the wingate webserver and using port 80 to pass ssl requests to the apache server but they have not worked.
I want to use ssl for all communications between webaccess and the internet. How can I configure wingate to pass ssl requests?
Thanks
