hi

I like to upgrade our version of wingate we are currently running 6.2.4 do I have to deactivate our license first before installing new version.
Also we have install wingate on a new system, I exported the registry into this version of wingate, now i seem to be having all sorts of problems
Nat:udp...... I change default gateway to our proxy, something is wrong it does not refreshs who is logging onto workstations i have to restart proxy or restart workstations, student who are disable from internet are able to get out!!!

the version I am running now is 6.1.2 would this affect what i am running now, for the registry i exported that from old proxy to our new one, It still does not seem right!!!!!

Hi,

Do you mean that you're currently running 6.0.4? If you want to update to the latest version you can simply install over the top.

If you are going to move your WinGate license to a new server then you will need to deactivate the license on the existing machine and reactivate it on the new machine.

So you copied over the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Qbik Software\WinGate registry file to the new machine and now it's not working properly for you? It sounds like some of the keys haven't been properly overwritten, could you remove it, and replace it?
