Hello,
I am trying to run Gloonet (www.gloonet.com) media server from behind Wingate under XP Professional.
Gloonet provide instructions for setting up to run behind Windows firewall (which is of course disabled on the XP machine).
Please could you 'translate' the following instructions into appropriate Wingate settings.
"you will need to configure GlooNet for a static port and then configure the Windows Firewall to allow GlooNet communication on that port. First, click GlooNet Audio Server or GlooNet Photo Server to bring up the main Server control panel. Click the Advanced button and check the Static Port check box (generally the static port should be between 1024 and 65,535). Restart the media server. Next, open the Network Connections window and select Properties for your active network connection. Click the Advanced tab, followed by the Settings button. Click Add and enter "GlooNet TCP" as the service name, "localhost" as the name or IP address, the static port you selected in your GlooNet configuration as the internal and external port, and select the TCP option. Click OK to save the entry. Click Add again and enter "GlooNet UDP" as the service name, "239.255.8.15" as the IP address, "2131" as the internal and external port, and select the UDP option."
Thank you.
