pcAnywhere problem after upgrading to 6.0

Postby bztips » Aug 21 04 3:29 am

After upgrading to 6.0 from 5.2.3, our pcAnywhere connections no longer work. Under 5.2.3, they worked fine. I can't tell what's wrong now. The specific service mappings are still there, and the firewall holes are still assigned under the Port Security tab of the ENS.

Any ideas on what to look for?

Thanks in advance.

Verify that the connection is not being firewalled. So, basically, double check the adapter settings in WinGate, you'll find that under the Networking window. Make sure that the adapters are correctly detected (Useage)

Thanks for the prompt reply.

It turns out that it was a binding problem -- for whatever reason, the install of the new version caused the program to bind to the internal instead of external adapters.

Everything works now.
