Win 98 and Wingate 6.0.1 (build 995)

Postby Bartolo » Aug 24 04 5:22 am

I have updated (from Wingate 5.x) Wingate 6.0.1 (build 995) on a windows 2K server and everything work fine.
All my clients Xp Pro and Windows 2k Workstation can connect without problems.
Only 4 old Windows 98 and one laptop Xp Home can't connect. Do you have some suggest?
In my net I use Static Ip address for all machine an the users are assumed by ip address.

Thank You in Advance.

Hi

On these client machines, what errors are reported?

Also, do you get any entries in the Firewall tab in GateKeeper related to these client machines?

If so, check your adapter usage in GateKeeper on the Network tab at the bottom, make sure that each adapter in your system is being used correctly (internal, external etc). To change this, double click the adapter and edit the usage.

I have only one network card and it reach the internet via the gateway (Zyxel router) it is configured in automatic (from the 5.x configuration).

When I try the connection from Windows 89 or Xp Home the client receive
'can't display page' (translated from italian).

Thank You.
