outgoing mail error

Postby Marauder69FR » Jul 07 08 12:18 am

Hi

I'm having some troubles with outgoing mails. They all stay in the Current domain jobs and are never send.

SMTP server logs says :
07/06/08 13:05:39 Request: Forced retry domain job for xxyyzz.fr
07/06/08 13:05:39 127.0.0.2 <system> 0000000158 Error: Delivery for domain xxyyzz.fr failed - unable to lookup MX or A record

I have try to deliver directly and with my provider's gateway but ...same problem.

Any ideas ?

Best regards.

Can you confirm that your WinGate server is able to resolve the MX records for these domains.

- Start -> Run -> cmd
- nslookup
- set type=mx
- xxyyzz.fr

After 4 days, everything seems to work correctly. All the mails are gone !

I don't know what happened. This is the second times this problem occures. Maybe next time !

Thanks

I don't think more logs will help, but a debug log quite possibly will.
- Gatekeeper -> DNS/WINS Resolver -> Logging -> Enable "debug"

If it happens again, I recommend performing some MX lookups from the command prompt on the WinGate computer to make sure the specified DNS servers are resolving MX records correctly.
