Error accessing Email from Outlook Express Client on Win98SE

I am using Wingate 5 for connecting internet from 10 computers through a server. In the server Wingate server was installed and is working fine for browsing. But when I try to access email from Outlook Express client running on Windows 98 platform, it gives the authentication screen mentioning the user name for password.

When I enter the user name as info@kvgengg.org and password of the ISP’s email account, it could not able to connect to the wingate server.

When I create an user name in the WinGate, then it connects with the specified user name and not with the user name of the ISP. With the wingate username I am able to send email but not receive the mails from the same account. Please help to receive ISP’s emails through Wingate.

My configurations in Outlook Express are as follows:
Email address : info@kvgengg.org
POP3 Sever : wingate server IP address viz 192.168.1.138
SMTP server : wingate server IP address viz 192.168.1.138

Account Name : info@kvgengg.org
Password : Email password for ISP account
Outgoing mail server : Same as incoming mail server

Please note that the ISP uses a Proxy server for Email facilities and account name must be given as info@kvgengg.org

Your kind help in this regard is highly solicited.
