PCANYWHERE and Wingate Upgrade

Postby emobile » Sep 02 06 12:58 am

After upgrading to the latest version of Wingate, my PCAnywhere remote access stopped working. Until this upgrade I had access to 20 PC's on my network from the outside. My config was as follows:

My PC's were set with local ip addresses and a gateway pointing to the Wingate Server. My Adtran router was programmed with NAT pointing to the different PC's. The Wingate server used to pass the data from the router on to the individual pc's. Now the only was for me to gain acces was to load the WINGATE client on my remote PC and access the PC's through their local IPS, rather than the ADTRAN ip address. I also tried adding an addtional gateway setting to each pc pointing directly to the router which also seems to work. What changed with the new WINGATE upgrade?

Hi,

Do you see any Wingate firewall hits when you try to connect?

Are ports 5631 / 5632 open in Wingate's firewall to allow PcAnywhere access?

Have you checked the adaptor usage in the network tab just to be sure the Interna / External are as expected?
