Hi

That depends on what you are looking for when you mean secure.

In themselves, NAT is no more or less secure than Proxy connection. However you have more control over proxy connections, because the gateway understands more about what is going on.

If you mean security as in encrypted connections, or authentication, then both method support these options.

So wingate firewall works great with both NAT or proxy. My worry is how good is wingate firewall ? Clients will be protected yes.

Also with proxy they can only access www, but with NAT almost anything.

Still protected enough ?
