No access between subnets

Aug 22 10 9:27 pm

Hi!

I have three lan cards in my server as you can see in the picture. The first is connected to the internet, the second is to computers using wired lan, and the third is a wlan card working as an access point for wireless connections.

My problem is that the computers on the wired network can't see the computers on the wireless network and vica-versa. Both can access the server, and shares on the server, and both have internet access, but I can't even ping a computer on the wired network from the wireless. Relay udp broadcast packets is enabled in extended networking.

What do I need to configure to get it working? Or is it not possible to connect the two networks?

Hi

Normally this should work no problem.

you need to make sure that

a) routing is enabled in ENS in WinGate.
b) both interfaces are deemed internal
c) default gateway for the machines on each subnet is the IP of the WinGate adapter to which they are connected.

Regards

Adrien

Yes, routing is enabled, both interfaces are internal as you can see on the picture, and both use the wingate pc as gateway (otherwise there would be no internet access either).

Any ideas?

it should just work... any firewall hits or anything like that? Other firewall software installed/running?
