Proxy ARP supported?

Postby fstltna » Jan 25 09 4:14 pm

I have an older device that needs proxy arp to look up hosts on the network. Does Wingate support this?

Yes, Wingate does support it. You can download the trial and make sure it does what you expect from an arp proxy.

one thing to note - you need an enterprise license to be able to use Arp spoofing in WinGate.

It's on the network adapter properties advanced tab in GateKeeper.

Basically you can use it to get WinGate to respond to ARP requests for any IP you like (or subnet) with the MAC address of the WinGate machine. It can only respond with the WinGate MAC, you don't get to set that.

A trial license will also give you access to this feature.
