Q: VoIP by WGIC ?

Postby Mickey » Aug 05 04 11:09 am

Is it possible to use application VoIP (like Tele-Aikon) when Client is connected by WGIC, or maybe there is possible to set a Proxy for that program ?

App don't work -> connecting fine but I don't hear the person but he hear me. Firewall don't block I think(check and don't see any activity when I'm connecting)

Anyone have solution? (Programers of TeleAikon say that Network must be H.323 and SIP compatible)

Hi,

We haven't tried with Tele-Aikon, but we have successfully tested with Skype, which sounds very similar. You should try a straight NAT connection, where you just set the default gateway and DNS server address of the client to point at the internal NIC of the WinGate server.

Please let us know how you get on,

Matt

Skype work fine thou WGIC, but Tele-Aikon won't. I will test by NAT but I wil rather don't let users do go by NAT because I don't see what bandwidth they use and the users doesn't have control what application have access to internet and witch don't have.
