How do you access the Internet from a program? That is, a program that tries to access the Internet with https://IPAddress:443. WinGate proxy server does not appear to see the request. The workstation that is running the program accesses the Internet using IE LAN connections:
Type, Proxy Address to use, Port
HTTP: 192.168.0.1 80
Secure : 192.168.0.1 80
FTP: 192.168.0.1 80
Gopher: 192.168.0.1 80
Socks: 192.168.0.1 1080
My question is how do I get WinGate GateKeeper to see the request.
The program runs fine without WinGate on a computer using a cable modem and even on the box with WinGate GateKeeper on it. On the WinGate box programs just access the Internet straight out, bypassing the proxy.
I have used TCP services for some programs but the one using https (port 443) seems to be different, or I don't have the correct setup for the TCP service I tried to set up.
Thanks for any help,
