Hi

In the case where it is not working, what is the client software that is running the streaming media?

In general we have to write special support into WinGate's ENS driver to support streaming media. We support the RTSP protocol in the driver. We also support some other protocols (such as RealPlayer proxy protocol, VDO live) in the proxies.

Does the streaming media client use RTSP?

thank you for your reply.
yes,
the problem is when the client click the link, if it triggered( lunched) microsoft media player or realone player, the stream media can be played very well. but if it just open another internet explorer window embeded with media player or realone player, I can see the connecting information but will never played.

Hi yes you were clear, sorry to take so long.

As far as I know, there should be no difference between media player running embedded in a browser, or running standalone. We haven't had these issues here in the lab or reported by others that I know of.

Does the media player client need updating for the browser plugin component perhaps?

Do you have your browser configured to use a proxy? Or SOCKS server?

yes, I'm sure the browser is configered to go through the proxy server. however, I'll check and test it again, if I keep you up to date.
thanks for your reply.
