Does GateKeeper disappear a few seconds after you've logged in? If that's the case - this is a known bug which will be resolved by our next maintenance release. This post details a workaround for that problem:

http://forums.qbik.com/viewtopic.php?t= ... disappears

If it's not that, what do you mean by it "hang up" ?

Which version of GateKeeper is that? A version 3 Gatekeeper will not talk to a version 6 WinGate Engine. And a version 6 GateKeeper will not talk to a version 3 WinGate Engine.

If it is a version 6 of GateKeeper, do you just get a gray screen?

Means there is a system message. This is when WinGate has something it needs you to pay attention to.

Think this is similar to an install I had recently.

At time of deployment the machine was renamed [bad idea] and exhibited the above behaviour.

Solution was to login using the administrator account and delete the Wingate administrator password from the registry [not the system password for this account].

Log off and then all came well, but it was a while ago and I'm a bit fuzzy on detail.

Good luck.

Hi,

From a previous post:

=============================================
To remove the administrator login password:
1\ Stop engine.
2\ Delete this key and restart the engine.

HKLM\Software\Qbik Software\WinGate\UserDatabase\Administrator

=============================================

All warnings apply about editing the registry befor you start.

As I said I am a bit vague about the issues I saw so good luck if it works.
