Internet Client not popping up?

Postby bia » Sep 10 04 12:30 am

Hi
I have a big problem. When I access internet on my client computer, the Internet Client Monitor should popup, but it doesn't and when it doesn't my connection gets very unstable, so "This page cannot be displayed" shows up time to time on the clientmachines. The program has popuped two or three times from when I started using Wingate..and then it's stable. BUT most of the times it doesnt popup, and I don't know why. I have read the other topics here about it but it does't make any sense.
I have Windows 2000 by the way, and the newest Wingate version.

Thank you
bia

uninstall wg client...

place a copy of wg installer on every client machines, run the installer from there, NOT via network

There is an application called WGDM.exe. It is the notification icon when a connection is made to WinGate (Similar to a dialup monitor on earlier versions of Windows)

With the new Central Configuration for WinGate, a certain state needs to be sent back to the client to tell it to popup this application. If you do not have an enterprise license, it does not show. This is a known bug. We have since fixed this, and will include it in our next release.

If you do have an enterprise license, you can enable the option to "Track Connections" for a given user/group and then the dialup monitor will show.
