Uninstalling 5.0.2 problem

Basically I've tried the WinGate, and I choosed to go without it
The problem is when unistalling a WinGate 5.0.2 client from WinXP, it basically crashes sockets, so that no aplication whatsoever can access the internet afterwards... When reinstalling it back - everything is back to normal again... I tried to do a custom uninstall, leaving the copied mfc42.dll in place, as well as two other dll's which are def-ly parts of wingate (wg***.dll)
Didnt help...
Any suggestions on this issue?

Basically, internet in so longer accessible, no metter the network settings and such..
But when I tried to or renew IP it said - error, and smthng about "target is not a valid socket" or some such - i dont remember the exact error description, but it was clear that something is wrong on the level, deeper then manual network config

When you run the uninstaller, does it complete properly?

The WGLSP.DLL is the Layered Service Provider DLL that is hooked into Winsock.

This is normally unlinked from Winsock by the program WGRC.exe, which I believe requires 2 DLLs to be present - SPORDER.DLL and WGCLNINS.DLL

If these are no longer on your system, you can extract these from the WinGate installer by running the installer exe from the command line with a /X on the end

Yes, uninstaller completes properly... But first I toggle the wingate engine off - basically it's always off - I dont use it..
And when it's off but still in the system - it's fine
But when after that I uninstall it - it crashes all the networking with itself
anyway,
I'll try to use this WGRC and if it'tl help - I'll immidiately inform..
In case I dont return - it means that it ddn't help :)

OK! I left in place all the DLL's that it wanted to delete and also the wgrc.exe and now no more problems, 10x for help! (although I think I repeated all just like the last time, when it didnt help :) )

i installed wingate succesfuly. but gate keeper is asking for a password. i tried typing the liscence key but it is not accepting it.

Leave the password blank on the first login attempt. That allows you to set the default administrator password.

If you are using the OS userdatabase, then you need to enter the password for you Adminsitrator user (And check that it's the right username too)

Which version of WinGate is this with ?

we had wingate ver 4 but the the previous technician left the job and he forgot to give the password for gate keeper, so we when we installed the the full version of WinGate 5.2.3 on the same machine.
but still it is asking for a password when trying to start the keeper program.
