Hi All,

Can you advise what the current status of QoS for VOIP is on Wingate and WingateX.

Looking to provide IP phones to each of my tenants on our Wingate network.

Any advice.

At the moment we do not have any special processing for QoS. What particular QoS featuresa are you interested in? Some of it can be implemented with bandwidth throttling.

Hi,

We're looking to provide IP Hardware Phones to our Wingate clients.

The phones login and ask DHCP for an IP.

Most VOIP phones require Quality of Service to ensure traffic continuity, so we don't require throttling but to ensure voice has suitable priority.

Can Wingate handle it?

Erm... Yes and no - at the moment Wingate driver does not handle QoS as a special instructions for traffic control - but the trottling controller has an ability to prioritize traffic without doing actuall throttling, just making sure that the certain traffic pattern has higher priority than others (5 levels of priortizing).
