Hi there

This is very strange that you cannot see the system policies configuration as this is not licence dependent.

What is the exact version you are running?
Have you tried upgrading to the latest version of WinGate?

And lastly are you logged into GateKeeper as Administrator when this happens?

If you right click anywhere an the users tab in WinGate and select new user, this will allow to add a user if you are using the WinGate userdatabase.

Hi Erwin,

I'm using Wingate version 5.00 (Built 734). I'm not yet trying to upgrade my wingate because I never found this problem like this before. I found this problem when trying to add new user to access proxy server. Using right click to add new user no problem found. Also when using assumed user menu. But there is no system policies menu so new user can't configured to connect to the proxy server. Another user that already add before this problem found can access proxy server normally, but when trying to BAN a website a message error display : Access Denied (fyi i'm already login to getkeeper as administrator)

Hi there

The only time you could possibly see this happening (System Policy config dissappear) is if the administrator has somehow been denied the system policy right of accessing/editing system policies.

You can reinstate this ability by editing the registry. Obviously you should take a backup of the registry before continuing and understand the consquences/risks of editing the registry before proceeding.

Open and navigate to the key :

HKEY_Local machine\software\qbiksoftware\wingate\systemrights\Policyedit\Recipient0

Here, select the "Specify User" entry on the right hand side and change the value from a "1" to a "0". Close the regedit and restart the WinGate engine.

This will set System Policy config to be accessible by everyone again.

Let us know if this helps

Hi! Erwin,

Thank's alot for your help, problem solved. In my registry i'm found that
"recipient0" in
HKEY_Local machine\software\qbiksoftware\wingate\systemrights\Policyedit\Recipient0 disappear. Then i try install wingate to a new Harddisk and then export the registry (recipient0 section) to a file and then import it to the trouble PC and Aha... problem solved. Once again thankyou verymuch for your help. Hope this help another user if their found similar case.
