Wingate Telnet Problem

I newly configured my wingate server. I also configured telnet proxy server service properly. But when I try to connet from client machine through telnet it is giving (Connection Timed Out) Error.


Can you please help me in this matter.

DId the proxy reported timeout error or the client did? I mean, have you been able to connect to the proxy itself and issue the opening command?

I am getting this error at client node......not on server.

So are you getting this error when you try to open the Telnet connection to the proxy? Meaning that you can't even connect to the WinGate server?

Or are you connecting to the WinGate proxy server and then you can't connect to the remote server?

Then it might be a problem with Telnet proxy not being bound on the interface your telnet client is trying to connect to (or the port number is not correct).
