Postby corcoran » Aug 04 05 8:40 pm

has anyone been using this? i've got it running with the NT DB at the moment, which works ok.. if i turn on AD integration, is this going to make me cry? or is it absolutely brilliant and i'll love it?

Are you just using the local machine user database at the moment? I take it you're talking about the option to use a remote user database? This really won't alter anything, except it will import the user database from the remote machine and over-write your existing user database. You can then authenticate against the remote user database using NTLM auth.

yeah just using the DB from the local machine - so 'administrator' and 'guest'.. so you guys are happy with switching over to use an AD db from a domain controller?

For sure, it's only a matter of importing the user database from a remote machine, there shouldn't be too much to worry about.
