hi there,

two q's here...

1) is it possible to rename a group? like "Faculty" to "Staff" w/o losing settings & policies.

2) for the auto Registry Backup, i wud like wingate to save it over a network drive. is there a way i cud change the default backup directory?

To do this, you might want to try the following.

1. Export your WinGate Registry. (Windows) Start menu --> Programs --> WinGate --> Advanced Options --> Registry --> Export Settings
2. Make a copy of it (Back it up somewhere)
3. Use a text editor to FIND Faculty, and Replace With Staff
4. Import into a "Test environment" (not a live environment) and test.
5. If tests are successful, Import the modified registry back in to your production environment. (same location as step 1.)

Change the C:\ in the command line to your network drive.
