Wingate on server with IIS

Postby slong » Aug 12 05 7:49 pm

Hi, anyone has any idea if Wingate has any issue when installed on a Windows 2000 server that has an active IIS server? We currently are using version 5.2.3 and it seems sometimes all the users get locked out from Wingate for no apparent reason, when that happens, even the default administrator id is not able to login with message "Connection with Wingate terminated". The service is still running and even after restarting the service, we are still unable to login. Only option I had was to reinstall the entire Wingate again.

Hi,

That sounds like you've got a policy that is denying access to everyone. To stop this happening again create a policy in the Remote Control Service that the administrator has unrestricted rights and that default rights are ignored. Then, even if you create a policy which locks everyone else out the administrator will still be able to connect to GateKeeper.
