Host name lookup !

Hi,

We have a problem of dns lookup.
I see the proxy server logfile and i have this error:

Error : Caught socket exception in CWWWSession::HTTPProcessRequest () Host name lookup for 'www.dell.com' failed - terminating

We are with NTLM Authentification on a domain with 2 subnets.
Client are configurate with proxy service on port 8080.
This error appears sometimes. It's a really probleme.
For more information, in the Advanced Option, we have put the two ip of internal dns server.
What can do it ?

Julien, if you are using WinGate's DNS Server the first step would be to enable debug logging for the DNS Service and for the DNS/WINS resolver. That will log any DNS lookups and should clearly point at where the problem is.

Secondly, it could potentially be a misconfiguration of DNS. Can you post details of how you have it setup? (Where do the clients point, if there are forwarders, where do they point, what are the DNS Servers set on the WinGate server's network adapters, etc.)

No, we don't use WinGate's DNS Service, we have two DNS Server in factory.
I have debug log for DNS/WINS Resolver. We have 2 subnets in factory.
Can I send to you the network architectural on your mail ?.
