Windows XP WGIC Problems

Postby ramarsh01 » Sep 14 05 3:59 pm

I can't get the WGIC to work on a Windows XP machine. The strange thing is at times the WGIC is used to access the internet and other times it uses NAT. What settings should i look for to make it always use WGIC to access the internet.

thanks.

1. For the same application or a different application? What are the apps' names.
2. Did you originally install the WinGate Internet Client (WGIC)?
3. What version of WinGate are you using.
4. Is it an enterprise license?

The WGIC catches WinSock applications, which most programs for Windows uses. You can set the WGIC to use NAT for certain applications. This is done by setting the program name in the WGIC applications list to "Local". If you need more details on setting programs to local access, please advise.

Please also be aware that the WGIC:
Requires DNS set on the clients TCP/IP settings.
Requires the Windows Firewall stopped for the sake of testing.
