Access restrictions impacts speed?

Hello,

We recently enabled access restrictions via policies in the WWWProxy Service. It worked great, in the restrictions area, but we noticed that internet access has become slow, sometimes causing time outs. We thought it was a problem with our ISP connection, but we tried connecting directly and the speed improved. Is there some impact on speed when access restriction policies are enabled? Is there a way to minimize such impact? Please, any comments are welcome

What kind of restrictions do you have in place?

We have user access restrictions, using the WWW Proxy Server Policies section. We banned access to all sites except those who meet certain criteria. We have about 10 rules or so. Any issues know with this?
