No NIC listed in services and Proxy services

I installed Wingate 5.1 and all the new plugins on a Windows Server 2003 Standard Edition machine. Wingate seems to work properly, but i cannot see my external NIC listed in all the services windows... My machine has 2 NICs but Wingate seems to recognize the internal LAN NIC only and not the one connected to my ADSL router...
Before upgrading to Wingate 5.1 , all the NICs were listed for a correct binding...
Is this a known issue ? Could you resolve this problem?

Are the (external) NIC's being assigned IP's by the router!? If WinGate starts before these IP's are assigned then it wont see then. If you stop and start the WinGate engine do you then see them? Also you should check in GateKeeper under Options - Advanced - Network Interfaces, and see if they're listed there, and if so what are they set as?!

i'll answer you in order to be more comprehensive.
My server has 2 NICs with static IP (one of them is connected to an ADSL router with a static IP address, the second is for the internal LAN) and they work well if you don't consider Wingate. In other words all the connections made on the internet without passing through Wingate work properly.
Consider that before updating Wingate to 5.1 version i could see all the NICs into Wingate without changing anything in the server configuration.
If i stop and start Wingate i don' t see the external NIC as usual after upgrading.
And to answer to the last your question, in the network interfaces list i see the internal NIC and "127.0.0.1" only, but not my external NIC....
So i could say that Wingate does not recognize my external NIC anyway... and so it's right i cannot see that in any service...
But the strange thing is that Wingate seems to work properly, like it could see the external NIC, 'cause I set "Connections out will be made on any interface. The operating system will choose the correct interface" option in any service tab...

Well I've tried replicating your set up here and still can't get teh same results as you, so a few more questions. What version of WinGate were you upgrading from? If you don't do an upgrade (ie a fresh install) do you still experience these problems? Are the plugins installed under your old WinGate system and only WinGate is upgraded, or do you have WinGate + plugins then upgraded both WinGate and the plugins?!

If once you've done this upgrade (ie rebooted) you then manuially stop and start the WinGate engine does this interface / binding then appear in Gatekeeper?!

OK, i'm telling you my steps...
Originally on that machine I installed Wingate 5.0.10 and all the old plugins and it was all ok, i saw all my NICs...
Then i upgraded to 5.1 without uninstalling the old plugins and noticed that the old plugins did not work properly, so first i decided to uninstall the old plugins and install the new plugins, but they did not work too, so i decided to uninstall everything (plugins and Wingate) to "clean" my system (and i manually deleted all the old directories regarding Wingate and plugins).
Then I newly installed Wingate 5.1 and the new plugins. This is the last configuration as i told you... Everything seems to work properly but i cannot see the external NIC...
Even if i manually stop and re-start Wingate Engine i cannot see my external NIC...

I really can't understand how GateKeeper doesn't see that NIC after restarting WinGate, once the pc is up and running and you have access through the NIC. Is this the case, irrespective of whether plugins are installed or not?!

Are there any particular services / protocols installed on that NIC?!

Have you tried un-installing that NIC and reinstalling it!?

sorry for my late... different work problems made me busy...
Meanwhile i upgraded to 5.2.2 version but nothing changed about that: my Wingate does not show my external NIC.
There are no particular service or protocols installed on my server.
I tried to un-install and then reinstall my external NIC (using updated driver!) and when i opened gatekeeper, into the messages panel it told me that a new NIC was installed and it was dangerous to let Wingate decide which NIC must be use for outside binding rather that to choose one NIC only... (ok, that's correct... i'd like to choose!!)... but when i saw into the binding panel, the new NIC was not listed!!
Another detail: My Windows directory is in a partition called E:\ (and not C:\ as usual, but this must not be case sensitive!)
Ok, nothing changed with 5.2.2 and Wingate works properly without listing my extrernal NIC....
Could you create a new function to refresh Wingate bindings ?

LAST UPDATE FOR NEIL:
I realized that all my NICs are listed in the "Traffic Monitor" panel... i can't understand how it's possible Wingate recognizes my external NIC for Traffic monitor and not into any service (in the bindings and interfaces panels)...

Well after a bit of digging around, found this from the days of yore!

To make an interface appear in Gatekeeper, stop the engine and in the registry under the key:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Qbik Software\WinGate\Settings\Interfaces

create a String value with the IP address (of the missing adapter) as the String Name. The value of this String can be anything you like. Then restart your WinGate engine. These new entries will by default be set to Public / Untrusted under Options - Advanced - Network Interfaces in Gatekeeper, but can be manually changed.

The usual registry warnings apply, you edit the registry at your own risk, and should always make a backup before making any alterations.
