WG6.1 - Drip-feed option doesn't work properly

Postby Valter » Nov 09 05 5:37 am

Hi,

We have upgraded our Wingate 6.04 Windows 2000 Server to WG 6.1 & Kaspersky 2.0.
When downloading files from an HTTP url the file is downloaded first from
the Wingate Server and after the antivirus scanning the file is sent to client.
In this situation with big files timeouts occur.
We are using "WWW proxy service" with "Kaspersky antivirus" enabled, the drip-feed option is enabled with 200kb value.
If we enable or disable the option there is no difference.
We need this feature working, because is very boring to wait the download without know the progress status.

Thaks in advance.

Hi

Is the AntiVirus configured to clean files?

If so, then it may need to modify files, and therefore we cannot dripfeed (you can't take the data back once it is sent to the client).

If so, try turning off "cleaning" of files in the AV.

Changing the cleaning configuration has resolved the problem.

Thanks.
