Can't get NAT to work!

Postby bakenburn2 » Nov 14 05 9:16 am

Hi, I have two systems interconnected. The one that is connected to a router that is connected to a cable modem has gatekeeper and windows xp on it. The other one has windows 98SE. Now I followed "Configuring LAN clients to make a NAT connection" document on the Qbik Support Helpdesk to configure both systems. Yet, when I try to surf the internet on my client system, I get "Cannot find server". I tried a number of urls and I can't get any of them to work. I can surf the Net on the gateway computer.

What could be wrong?

Thanks,

Darryl

How did you setup the standard gateway on your client? Does it point to the gateway (wingate) machines IP-Adress?

check this with ipconfig or route print
