Postby Nev » Jun 05 05 5:38 pm

Wingate 6.0.4 / Win2k Pro SP4.

Is this a configuration issue?

Any clues appreciated.

We will run our local test to find out the reason for this problem - our testers will get in touch with you as soon as we confirm the location of the bug.

Hi

This doesn't look like a config issue, rather a bug in WinGate POP3 server. I was pretty sure I had tested this command.

I'm picking it will still be broken in 6.1 and 6.1.1 as well. We have a couple of fixes to a couple of issues in 6.1.1, so I'll make sure this gets into 6.1.2

It seems to be the sender's problem - the reason why these messages were misread was CRLF . CRLF sequence in the body of the message. According to the standards SMTP clients should "escape" such sequences with '.' character so that it becomes CRLF .. CRLF.
