Notification Of Dynamic IP Address Changing

Does anyone know of a way of having WinGate notify you (via email) when the dynamic IP address of an attached cable modem changes?

I had the same problem. I've written a small Java program which periodically checks for a changed IP address and then mails it to the specified address.
If you're proficient with Java I can e-mail you the source?
