WG/VPN Setup Questions

Postby mcb » Feb 08 06 8:08 am

My company is getting ready to open a remote location and I am trying to get a feel of how to address the network needs. I need to know what i will need in the way of additional Wingate and VPN licenses to accomplish this. In a nutshell, i want to VPN the remote site in a way that it simply appears to be on our current LAN(domain).

First off, can WG's VPN solution do this?

2. Would i need an additional WG server installed and running in the new location? Or would the VPN software suffice?

3. The new office would have no more than 10 workstations and servers. In light of that what licenses would i need?

Thanks for your help.

Wingate requires both sides (joiner and server) to have Wingate VPN running.

Ok, what are we talking in terms of licenses then?

Would i need an additional Wingate Gateway installed at the remote location?

Would your VPN solution be able to integrate the 2 LAN's into one functional network?

Thanks,

Matt

Well, you will need both - you have to install Wingate on both sides of the connection and have licenses for both sides as well.
